Welcome to the Local Preliminary Engineering (LPE) Phase for the Route 24 and Columbia Turnpike (CR 510) Interchange Improvements project in Morris and Hanover Townships and Florham Park Borough. Due to significant commercial and residential growth in the area, the interchange and nearby intersection of Columbia Turnpike and Park Avenue (CR 623) experience heavy congestion and operational challenges, particularly during peak commuter periods.

NJDOT completed the Local Concept Development (LCD) Study in 2021. Morris County is conducting the Local Preliminary Engineering (LPE) Phase of the project. The LPE Phase is anticipated to be completed in two years, followed by the Final Design Phase (FD) and Construction (CON) Phases. The project continues to receive Federal funding with oversight by the NJDOT and NJTPA as cooperating agencies.
